A brighter, smoother complexion, tailored to your skin
Sun exposure, lingering post-breakout marks, and uneven texture can make skin look less clear than you would like. The Perfect Derma™ Peel is a professional, medium-depth chemical peel designed to improve the appearance of discoloration, blemish-prone skin, fine lines, and rough texture. At Boise Dermatology & Medspa in Meridian, we can customize your treatment with the Anti-Aging & Brightening Booster or Clear Booster, depending on your skin and goals.

What is The Perfect Derma™ Peel?
The Perfect Derma™ Peel is an in-office chemical peel that exfoliates the skin to reveal a fresher-looking surface as the treated skin sheds. Its formula includes glutathione, an antioxidant, alongside exfoliating ingredients. It may help improve the look of sun spots, uneven tone, dullness, visible pores, fine lines, and blemish-prone skin.
This is a medium-depth peel, so visible peeling and careful aftercare are part of the treatment. Our team will review your skin history and current routine before recommending the peel or a booster. If you are exploring other options, see our chemical peels page.
Choose the booster that fits your goals
Boosters are professional add-ons to The Perfect Derma™ Peel. They are selected for specific concerns; they are not separate at-home peels.
The Perfect Derma™ Anti-Aging & Brightening Booster
This booster is designed for stubborn-looking pigmentation, sun damage, uneven tone, and visible signs of aging, such as fine lines and a loss of radiance. It may be a good fit if discoloration or photoaging is your main concern. Melasma needs a careful, individualized plan because it can persist or recur; we will assess whether this peel and booster make sense for your skin.
Clear Booster
The Clear Booster is designed for oily or acne-prone skin, the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven texture, and marks left after breakouts. It helps refine the look of congested skin. If you have ongoing acne, we can also discuss whether you need a broader acne treatment plan.
Not sure which to choose? You do not have to decide before your visit. We will recommend the base peel, a booster, or another treatment after evaluating your skin.
What should you expect during treatment and recovery?
We start by reviewing your concerns, skin sensitivities, medications, and recent treatments. After cleansing your skin, your provider applies the peel and explains how to use your post-peel products. You may feel brief tingling or stinging during application.
Your skin may feel tight or dry afterward. Peeling often begins around day three and can range from light flaking to more noticeable shedding; many people are through the main peeling phase by about day seven. Timing and intensity vary. Plan your treatment with any important photos or events in mind.
While your skin heals, follow the instructions we give you, use the recommended moisturizer and sun protection, and let the skin shed on its own. Do not pick at peeling skin. Avoid unnecessary sun exposure and ask us when to resume exfoliants, retinoids, and strenuous exercise.
Is The Perfect Derma™ Peel right for you?
The peel is marketed for a range of skin tones, but suitability depends on your skin and medical history. Tell us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; have a current sunburn, rash, infection, or cold sores; have recently used isotretinoin or had waxing, laser treatment, or another peel; or have a history of difficult healing or post-inflammatory pigmentation. We may recommend postponing treatment, preparing your skin first, or choosing another option.
Frequently asked questions
How many Perfect Derma™ Peel treatments will I need?
Some people notice a smoother, brighter appearance after one peel. Concerns such as persistent discoloration or acne-related marks may require a series. Your provider can recommend timing after evaluating your skin and seeing how it responds.
Will the peel help with melasma?
It may improve the appearance of some uneven pigmentation, and the Anti-Aging & Brightening Booster is intended for stubborn discoloration, including melasma. Melasma is often recurring, and no single peel can guarantee that it will clear. We will discuss sun protection and a longer-term care plan.
Is the Clear Booster an acne treatment?
The Clear Booster is an add-on intended to improve the appearance of oily, congested, acne-prone skin and post-breakout marks. Persistent or inflamed acne may also need medical treatment; your provider can help you decide what combination makes sense.
Can I get a peel if I have a darker skin tone?
The manufacturer describes the peel as suitable for all skin types and ethnicities. We still evaluate each patient individually because irritation or post-inflammatory discoloration is possible after a peel, particularly if the skin is already irritated or aftercare is difficult to follow.
How much downtime should I plan for?
You may be able to return to regular activities soon after the appointment, but visible flaking or peeling often occurs for several days. Allow about a week before an important event, and ask your provider about the right timing for you.
