Boise Dermatology & Medspa is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every patient and visitor to be able to find information about our practice and request care without barriers.
Our Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive impairments.
What We Do
To support accessibility on boisedermatology.com, we work to provide:
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- Headings and page structure that work with screen readers
- Keyboard navigation for menus, links, and forms, with a visible focus indicator
- Sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
- Text that can be resized without loss of content
- Forms with clear labels and error messages
- Videos that can be paused and controlled by the user
We review the site on an ongoing basis and address accessibility issues as part of our regular website maintenance.
Known Limitations
Some content on our site is provided by third parties, including our online scheduling system (Relatient), our patient portal (ModMed), and embedded maps and videos. We do not control the accessibility of those tools, but we choose vendors who state a commitment to accessibility and we will help you complete any task by phone if a third-party tool is difficult to use.
Some older blog posts and PDF documents may not fully meet our standard. We are working to improve these over time.
