Online Scheduling
Online appointment booking is provided through Relatient, a third-party scheduling service. When you click Book Online, you leave our website and enter Relatient’s secure scheduling system. Information you enter there is governed by Relatient’s privacy policy and by our agreement with them as a HIPAA business associate.
Patient Portal and Online Bill Pay
Our patient portal and online bill pay are provided through ModMed (Modernizing Medicine), a third-party service. When you click Patient Portal or Pay Your Bill Online, you leave our website and enter ModMed’s secure system at boisederm.ema.md. Information you enter there is governed by ModMed’s privacy policy and by our agreement with them as a HIPAA business associate.
Email Communications
If you provide your email address, we may send you appointment information and, where you have agreed, news and promotions from our practice. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time without affecting your care.
Text Messages
If you provide your mobile number, we may send you appointment reminders and confirmations by text message. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to respond to your inquiries, schedule appointments, operate and improve our website, measure and improve our advertising, and comply with legal obligations.
How We Share Information
We share information only with service providers who help us operate our website and communicate with you, such as our website host, scheduling provider, patient portal and billing provider, email service, and the analytics and advertising platforms named above. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information when required by law.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information collected through our website, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
